1. Who we are
Altruism NSW Pty Ltd (ABN 32 659 743 781) provides commercial kitchen ventilation repair, maintenance, replacement, controls, inspection and rectification services. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website and business operations.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
- your name, business name, email address, phone number and service address;
- enquiry details, equipment information, site photographs, correspondence and service history;
- quotes, invoices, payment records and other transaction information;
- website information such as IP address, browser or device data, pages viewed, referral source and cookie identifiers; and
- advertising attribution data such as Google click IDs and UTM campaign parameters.
Please avoid sending personal information that is not relevant to the requested work. If site photographs contain people, documents, screens or other private material, remove or obscure that content where practical.
3. How we collect information
We collect information when you submit our website form, call or email us, send photographs, accept a quote, receive services, pay an invoice, interact with our advertising or website, or otherwise communicate with our team.
The website form submits directly to Formspree. Photographs are not uploaded through the form; if needed, customers are asked to email them separately to service@altruismnsw.com.au.
4. Why we use information
We use information to:
- respond to enquiries and assess service requirements;
- confirm availability, callout charges and booking details;
- prepare quotes, reports, job records, certificates and invoices;
- supply, administer and improve our services;
- communicate about an active enquiry, booking, job, warranty or account;
- maintain safety, security, fraud prevention and legal records; and
- measure advertising performance and understand which campaigns generate genuine enquiries.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Website analytics and enhanced conversions
Our website uses Google advertising and measurement technologies. When a form submission succeeds, the Google tag may receive the submitted email address and phone number in normalised form for enhanced conversion matching. Google hashes this first-party information before or during transmission and uses it to improve measurement and attribution in accordance with Google's applicable terms.
We also capture Google click identifiers and UTM campaign parameters with an enquiry. Cookies or local browser storage may be used to retain attribution details for up to 90 days. You can restrict cookies through your browser, although some measurement features may then be unavailable.
6. Who we disclose information to
We may disclose relevant information to service providers and parties who help us operate the business, including:
- Formspree for website form processing;
- our website host, email and communications providers;
- Google for advertising measurement and analytics;
- ServiceM8 and Xero for job administration, invoicing and accounting where applicable;
- technicians, subcontractors, suppliers and professional advisers involved in the requested work; and
- government, regulatory, emergency or law-enforcement bodies where required or authorised by law.
Some providers may process or store information outside Australia. Their locations and sub-processors may change. We select established providers and use their services subject to their contractual privacy and security arrangements.
7. Storage, security and retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No online transmission or storage method is completely secure.
We keep information only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described above, warranty and service history, accounting and taxation obligations, dispute management, insurance and other legal requirements. Information that is no longer required is deleted or de-identified where reasonably practicable.
8. Access, correction and choices
You may ask us to provide access to or correct personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity and may decline a request where permitted by law, explaining the reason where appropriate.
You can ask us to stop non-essential marketing communications at any time. Operational messages about an enquiry, booking, job, safety matter, warranty or unpaid account are not marketing.
9. Privacy questions and complaints
Contact us at service@altruismnsw.com.au, call 0423 063 061, or write to Unit 8D/6 Louise Avenue, Ingleburn NSW 2565. Please provide enough detail for us to investigate. We will respond within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with our response and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies to the matter, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.
